Alexa Grasso is a Mexican MMA fighter born August 9, 1993, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, competing in the UFC Women's Flyweight division. She trains at Lobo Gym MMA in Guadalajara — a family business she has represented her entire career without relocating abroad. In March 2023 at UFC 285, Grasso submitted Valentina Shevchenko in the fourth round to become the UFC Women's Flyweight Champion — the first Mexican-born woman to win a UFC title and second Mexican champion overall after Brandon Moreno. She followed with a split draw in the first defense (Noche UFC, Sep 2023) before losing the belt to Shevchenko at the iconic UFC 306 at The Sphere in September 2024.
