Bruno "The Brazilian Cowboy" Lopes is a Brazilian MMA fighter born April 24, 1993, in Cotia, São Paulo, competing in the UFC Light Heavyweight division. He holds a Muay Thai black belt and BJJ brown belt, and was inspired to train martial arts by action movie legends Van Damme, Stallone and Jackie Chan. Before fighting full-time, Lopes worked in a motorcycle workshop and as a horse farrier — a background that earned him his nickname. He became the LFA Light Heavyweight Champion and the first to successfully defend that belt, then earned his UFC contract on a second Contender Series attempt with a stoppage win in 2024. A high-pressure finisher with a Jungle Fight welterweight title also on his record, Lopes brings a diverse martial arts base to the light heavyweight division.
