Max Holloway is an American professional MMA fighter from Waianae, Hawaii, widely regarded as one of the greatest featherweights of all time. Born December 4, 1991, he debuted in the UFC at just 20 years old and went on to capture the UFC Featherweight Championship in 2017 by defeating Jose Aldo, defending it four times before losing to Alexander Volkanovski in 2019. Holloway holds the UFC all-time records for most significant strikes landed (3,655) and total strikes (3,907). After moving to lightweight, he won the UFC BMF title at UFC 300 by knocking out Justin Gaethje in one of the most memorable finishes in UFC history, and successfully defended it against Dustin Poirier at UFC 318 in July 2025.
