Tofiq Musayev is an Azerbaijani MMA fighter born December 15, 1989, in Sahil, Azerbaijan, competing in the UFC Lightweight division. A multi-discipline martial artist who trained karate, pankration, kung-fu, taekwondo and sanda growing up, he became Asian Pankration Champion and Sanda World Champion before turning his focus to MMA. His biggest international breakthrough came in 2019 when he won the RIZIN Lightweight Grand Prix — defeating Damien Brown, Johnny Case, and Patricky "Pitbull" Freire in the final, reportedly fighting through a broken hand to claim the title. In 2020, Musayev paused his career to serve as a reserve lieutenant in the Azerbaijani Armed Forces during the Nagorno-Karabakh war, receiving the Brave Fighter medal.
